Owner Bill Duley starts his first retail job working at Sports LTD. in Woodland Hills.

Bill considers opening his own retail ski shop, but sequential years of low snowfall makes him rethink his timing.
1986
Bill takes a job coaching Cross Country and Track and Field at his alma mater, Agoura High School.
1989
The overwhelming success of Bill's teams and individual runners allows him attend programs at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs where he extensively studies running stride and foot function which he applies to his biomechanical knowledge gained from years of work in the ski industry.
1986-1998
Bill establishes himself in the local running community by organizing and directing a number of local road races. His most recognized event was the cross country race series at Paramount Ranch. During this time he also begins coaching the Future Track Running Club.
August 1997
A member of the Future Track Running Club approaches Bill with an idea of opening a running store in the area together. Bill immediately jumps at the opportunity.
January 1998
After deliberation over the name of the store, the Future Track Running Center opens it's doors to its first customers: members of the Agoura High School Track team.
July 1998
Bill's business partner sells his portion of the company and opts for the faster pace of a sporting goods sales representative.
2004
As business boomed, Future Track out-grew the walls of it's first location and upgraded to a 2,600 square foot space just feet from the original store.
2005
Future Track is named LA's Best Running Store for the first time by LAS&F Magazine.
2008
After ten years of business, the Future Track logo was renovated to appear more relevant in the 21st century.
2008
Future Track adds the DNA Fitting System and takes technologically aided shoe fitting to the next level with state of the art motion analysis software.
